You will join the Corporate Center, the operational hub supporting our business units to thrive, through a culture of collaboration. About your future Team

In an organization that embraces the public cloud services, a FinOps culture and frame-work is crucial and therefore the skills and talent for the ongoing FinOps needs and con-tinuous improvement is fundamental. The FinOps team is within the System Improve-ment team under the EAM-IOPS area, and this open position seeks to reinforce the team with a FinOps Operational Specialist. 

 

How will your day-to-day look like:

  • Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the FinOps practice, ensuring the effective implementation of FinOps processes and tools.
  • Cost Optimization: Lead efforts to identify and implement cost-saving measures, in-cluding anomaly detection, commitment-based discounts, and savings opportunities.
  • Anomaly Detection and Management: Monitor cloud spending to detect and man-age anomalies, ensuring costs are within expected ranges and addressing issues promptly.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze financial reports to provide insights into cloud spending patterns and areas for optimization.
  • Tool Implementation: Manage and optimize the use of FinOps tools and platforms to support financial management and cost optimization efforts.
  • Collaboration with Strategic Lead: Work closely with the Strategic Lead to ensure alignment between strategic goals and operational activities, providing updates and in-sights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaboration with Engineering Teams: Coordinate with engineering teams to im-plement technical solutions for cost optimization, tagging hygiene, and other opera-tional improvements.
  • Automation Driver: Lead the initiative to increase automation within the FinOps team, developing and implementing automated solutions to streamline processes and reduce manual efforts.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve FinOps processes and practices to en-hance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Training and Mentorship: Provide training and mentorship to team members and other stakeholders on FinOps principles and best practices.
  • Budget Management: Excellent understanding of the budgeting and forecasting pro-cess. Oversees and follow-up of budgets across the organization.

 

What makes you unique:

  • FinOps Expertise: Strong understanding of the FinOps framework, principles, and best practices. Certification in FinOps (e.g., FinOps Certified Practitioner) is preferred.
  • Cloud Cost Management: In-depth knowledge of cloud cost management techniques and tools, including cost optimization strategies.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong technical skills in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), includ-ing familiarity with cloud cost management tools and automation scripts.
  • Project Management: Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools to oversee the implementation of FinOps initiatives.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the abil-ity to convey complex financial and technical information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and executive teams.
  • Automation Skills: Proficiency in developing and implementing automation solutions to optimize FinOps processes and reduce manual workload.
  • Operational Proficiency: Proven experience in an operational role, preferably within a technology or cloud-centric organization.
  • Cost Optimization Initiatives: Demonstrated experience in leading cost optimization initiatives and managing cloud spending.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Experience in engaging with and managing relationships with stakeholders, including engineers, finance teams, and executives.
  • Automation Implementation: Proven experience in developing and implementing au-tomation solutions within an operational context.
  • Fluent English (mandatory), Spanish will be valued.
