Data Governance Officer
About your future Team
The Data & Analytics Office Team ensures that the data governance model is implemented and adopted, that performance is monitored and that continuous improvements are proposed. It is also essential to clarify the value of data and manage the associated risks through effective communication. Data policies, standards and guidelines must be defined and enforced to ensure legal and regulatory compliance, and data governance roles such as Data Owners, Data Administrators and Data Custodians must be established and supervised. Supporting forums related to Data Governance is also essential, as is promoting data quality improvement and risk management. Aligning data governance initiatives with privacy and security measures is a priority, and facilitating the adoption of technologies and tools that streamline governance processes contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
What will your Day-To-Day look like
- Ensure the implementation and adoption of the data governance model;
- Monitor performance and propose improvements;
- Clarify data value and manage associated risks through effective communication;
- Define and enforce data policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure legal and regulatory compliance;
- Establish and oversee data governance roles (Data Owners, Data Stewards, Data Custodians);
- Support the Data Governance-related forums;
- Promote data quality improvement and risk management;
- Align data governance initiatives with privacy and security measures;
- Facilitate the adoption of technologies and tools to streamline governance processes.

- Proficiency in information governance, data management, and data modeling;
- Ability to communicate technical concepts in non-technical terms;
- Strong knowledge of data policies, compliance, data privacy, and security;
- Experience in data governance initiatives and change management;
- Experience working in complex corporate environments;
- Capable of executing programs and reporting progress;
- Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and work autonomously on multiple projects;
- Collaborative mindset and good team player;
- 2+ years of relevant experience in data governance;
- Knowledge of business intelligence tools and regulatory requirements;
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CDMP, GDPR) are a plus.
