Pricing Specialist - New Power  

(Lisbon)

 

 

Mission:

As an active partner in changing the energy paradigm, Galp is reshaping its portfolio. You will be a crucial player in this shift to higher profitability and lower carbon intensity by contributing to the decision-making process across several commodities, with a special focus on Natural Gas.
New Power (Gas&H2) team is in charge of building gas products that allow Galp to maintain its margin, minimizing risks and covering market needs. To do this, the team must have a deep understanding of the gas market and its cost structure, the risks associated with the different products and modalities, as well as Galp's commercial process. 
On a day-to-day basis, you must support the sales team, developing and maintaining the tools that allow us to generate offers on a massive scale and preparing personalized studies in cases where this is required, always with a vision of excellence and continuous improvement of the processes.

 

 

What you'll do: 

  • Prepare personalized price proposals and other contractual conditions for the supply of natural gas, in those segments where customization is necessary.
  • Develop and maintain tools and pricing models, in order to guarantee an agile and adequate response to requests, as well as to incorporate regulatory or market changes.
  • Ensure the analysis of the competitiveness of Galp Energia's proposals for the different markets/segments, analyzing the cost structure and prices of competitors in the market.
  • Support the Commercial Area teams in the negotiation of gas sales contracts, responding to queries about prices, tolls, market structure, coverage, etc.
  • Monitor regulatory changes in the gas sector to support the Commercial Areas of Galp Energia, as well as customer requests.
  • Improve area processes by streamlining and automating internal processes.
  • Collaborate in the improvement of corporate systems at the points of interaction with our area (from gathering needs to final testing of developments).

 

 

What you'll need: 

  • Between 3-5 years of related relevant experience.
  • Degree in a Business, Engineering, or Mathematics field (advanced degree is a plus).
  • Knowledge of the gas sector, the operation of gas hubs and hedging operations.
  • Experience in processing legal documents. 
  • Expert level in the use of MS Office (mainly Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to create and maintain excel macros in VBA language.
  • Ability to create and maintain simple PowerBI dashboards.
  • Knowledge of statistical models is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Power Automate, Salesforce, SAP and Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
  • Talent for time management and attention to detail.
  • Analytical mind and strong worth ethic.
  • Flexibility and ability to perform with a substantial degree of autonomy with orientation to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to adapt to change and Teamwork.
  • Fluent English and Portuguese (Spanish is a plus), both verbally and written.
