Contract Manager (PMO)


The PMO is looking for the person who will ensure the Contract Management within the industrial portfolio in P&O BU, including refining, logistics and H2 projects. The position is integrated in Project Services Team and allocated to projects in a matrix structure led by the project manager.

Be part of the journey of PMO to develop and deliver the future assets of Galp.


What you'll do

  • Identify, monitor and act to mitigate risks to the Project based on the contracts, that can lead to claims or other effects to the Contract and its objectives;
  • Promote awareness to internal project team in terms of contract content, milestones, roles and responsibilities, T&Cs, the change order process and litigation;
  • Report on contract adherence and compliance by all Contract users and identify and implement opportunities for improvement when possible.
  • Lead regular meetings to measure Contractor’s adherence to contractual obligations;
  • Monitor contractors’ performance to ensure compliance with the contracts’ T&Cs, quality of deliverables and agreed milestones;
  • Lead the process of receiving and internally validating change orders per technical requirements, assessing their budgetary impact;
  • Lead, with Project Managers, the close-out process including financial aspects and potential liabilities;


What you'll need


  • >5 years of experience on industrial projects, with participation in at least one relevant project;
  • Sound experience of contract lifecycle management and good understanding of EPC(m) contracts common structure and procurement processes;
  • Ability to present complex data in a consistent, concise format and to be able to communicate;
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams and ability to lead/manage stakeholders;
  • Degree / masters in engineering, project management / procurement & contracting.
