Financial Analyst

 

Mission

In P&O Business Office (includes the Upstream, Industrial and Hydrogen), the Economics & Performance area is responsible for asset valuation, financial analysis, including approval of Investments/ Divestments, as well as long-term plan and performance monitoring.

This position is ideally suited for people with a robust analytical background who would like to influence decision-making processes and performance management agenda in Galp.

 

What you'll do:

  • Perform economic and financial analysis;
  • Perform budget and business plans, balancing the inputs from many stakeholders.
  • Define and monitor objectives and key results of the businesses (OKRs) on a regular basis (quarterly and annual);
  • Perform technical studies to support decision making processes, analysis of investments, profitability, performance and market analysis;
  • Monitor the evolution of the technical, legal, regulatory and tax framework of the respective countries where the Group operates;
  • Assess and challenge the economic and business fundamentals based on impact, cost and feasibility, to ensure high quality standards on the materials prepared to support decision making;
  • Strategic and ad-hoc analysis for leadership team;

 

What you'll need:

  • Highly motivated individuals with outstanding academic credentials in a reputable institution (with a Master degree, preferably in Management, Finance, Economics or Engineering) and professional accomplishments;
  • At least 2 years of experience in an analytical role, with exposure to financial modeling.
  • Strong analytical skills, detail oriented with high level of accuracy;
  • Capacity to deliver high quality outputs, even when dealing under tight deadlines
  • Ability to think the BU strategically, setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the business;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and high sense of responsibility;
  • Team player, resilient and with strong business and personal ethics;
  • Strong English language and communication skills, oral and written;
