Investor Relations Specialist



As Galp aims to play a leading role in the energy transition, the Investor Relations’ mission is to enable the capital markets community an in-depth appreciation our strategy and ambitions, as well as its operations and financials, to ensure the best reflection of its fundamental value.
As part of our team, you will play an important role as an accountable and responsible spokesman of the Company, helping to build a leading investor relations programme and ensuring Galp continues to be perceived as a reference in the capital markets. This role will give you the opportunity to have a holistic view of the entire Organisation and to develop interpersonal skills with key capital markets players as well as internal decision makers.
Be closely connected to the development of Galp’s ambitions, strategy, and business performance, and part of a high-pace and performance-oriented team where you’ll have a direct impact on making it happen!


What you´ll do:

  • Support and engage in IR external activities plan, namely events focused on the capital markets (e.g. Strategy Days, Business Seminars, Investors’ Roadshows, Brokers’ Conferences, etc.);
  • Structure and ensure communications deemed relevant about Galp (presentations to investors, relevant announcements, relevant financial information to be displayed on the website, etc.);
  • Be a reference point of contact for sell side analysts, analyse their researches with critical thinking and ensure correctness of published information;
  • Contribute in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial results materials and support the Executive team on quarterly earnings calls;
  • Perform analysis, interpretation, control of critical business variables, in coordination with the Company's business units;
  • Maintain an updated view on the evolution of the Company’s shareholder base, and develop the market intelligence to support our IR targeting plan;
  • Conduct analytical and qualitative analysis on internal assets, peers and energy sector trends;
  • Closely collaborate with Planning & Performance, Accounting, Strategy & Sustainability, Communications, Corporate Finance teams;
  • Support Galp´s Executives and management teams in all relevant activities from an investor relations perspective;

What you´ll need:

  • Master in Economics, Finance, Management and/or Engineering as preferred academic background;
  • Junior to mid-senior profile with 3-6 years work experience with a profile for financial analysis, corporate finance and consultancy;
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, reliability, as well as curiosity and creativity with problem solving mindset;
  • Analytical and data interpretation skills, combined with a constructive critical thinking, who is resilient under pressure, and with strong professional ethics and integrity. 
  • Ability to handle different projects simultaneously and provide deliverables under tight deadlines;
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic in a high-paced work environment, with proven team-player attitude;
  • A general curiosity towards energy markets, and its future evolution;
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills (C1/C2) with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. Bloomberg terminal and VBA language knowledge considered a plus.
