Product Developer – Oil & Bioproducts

Mission

Part of the Oil & Low Carbon Products - Product Development team, this unit will have the responsability to manage the definition of Galp`s future commercial portfolio of products for both Portugal and Spain. The product offer will be aligned with B2B and B2C client`s future energy and decarbonization needs and will include new additivated products, biofuels and carbon offset solutions.

Main Responsabilities

  • Push for the decarbonization of the energy sector through the development of new biofuels and carbon offset solutions to B2C and B2B clients;
  • Identify market trends and competitors positioning and translate into opportunities and threats within the current oil and biofuels product portfolio;
  • Define the business model and go-to-market plan for new product offers;
  • Identify and define the technical, legal and operational requirements for the implementation of new products or services, conducting and monitoring their implementation and launch;
  • Manage the carbon offset of Galp’s commercial sales and offers to B2B clients, aligned with Galp’s Carbon Offset Policy and Governance;
  • Maintain a close relationship with the sales channel (B2C and B2B) to understand and anticipate our clients’ needs;
  • Liaise with different departments to ensure product availability, quality, logistics and price competitiveness;
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of product and pricing offers, and guarantee an updated technical know-how to enable product development.

 

Experience

  • Up to 5 years of business experience;
  • A master's degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering, Industrial Management or a related field;
  • Preference for topics related to sustainability, energy transition and decarbonization;
  • Product development skills;
  • Analytical skills focused on the solution and the customer;
  • Fluent English, both verbally and written;
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability and confidence to connect well with businesses partners, advisors and senior stakeholders;
  • Passionate and ambitious self-starter, taking ownership of projects, with a strong drive for excellence;
  • Independent thinker with the ability to identify problems and contribute to the development of alternative solutions;
  • Team player, resilient and with strong business and personal ethics;
