Senior Strategy Advisor

 

 

Mission

The Strategy team, as part of the overall Portfolio and M&A department, aims to support the direction of Galp’s long-term portfolio, inline with the energy outlook, our energy beliefs and strategic intent, and to provide strategic advice across Galp's teams, actively participating in Group-wide strategic projects and discussions. We seek a conceptual and analytical thinker, able to approach problems in a hollistic manner, with a structured problem solving approach, sharp mind and excellent attention to detail. Someone that is highly autonomous, able to guide and support more junior team members, whilst being a team player, committed, resilient under pressure, and with strong professional ethics and integrity. 

 

What you´ll do

  • Reflect on Galp's long term portfolio under alternative macro outlooks and strategic pathways, and derive key opportunities and dillemas for Galp overall and its business units
  • Provide guidance and advice on long term energy outlook & trends and Galp's energy beliefs, supporting multiple engagements including the Business Plan exercise and key investment decisions
  • Lead strategic projects, or actively support other teams' projects across strategic topics
  • Prepare presentations to support internal engagements with Senior Management and external engagements in representation of Galp
  • Liase internally with Senior Management, business units and corporate areas across selected topics

 

What you’ll need

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in the energy sector or similar strategy roles (e.g., consulting, business development, project management)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to confidently engage with different stakeholders
  • Strong academic credentials (degree in business or engineering preferable)
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese, both verbally and written
  • High level of MS Office (mainly Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
