Health & Safety Wind Specialist

You will joint the Renewables, New Businesses & Innovation business unit that develops a diversified and sustainable portfolio of renewable energy - solar and wind - with a focus on the Iberian Peninsula. It also maps, evaluates and develops business opportunities in the energy space, such as the battery value chain.
About your future Team
Support safe and reliable operations by working closely with leaders and contractors, strengthening Galp’s safety culture through strong field presence, and enabling effective risk management and learning from operations, ensuring critical risks are properly understood, controlled and continuously improved.
How will your Day-to-Day look like:
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the HSE management system across operational wind assets;
- Ensure HSE requirements are effectively applied in the field through regular site presence and engagement with operational teams and contractors;
- Monitor high-risk activities (working at height, electrical works, lifting operations), verifying the adequacy and effectiveness of critical risk controls;
- Work closely with supervisors and contractors to support risk awareness and informed decision-making in daily operations;
- Contribute to strengthening safety culture by promoting open dialogue, learning, and practical application of safety principles in the field;
- Lead and support the application of operational safety tools (risk assessments, permits, briefings, etc.) ensuring usability and effectiveness;
- Participate in and execute internal audits, and support external audits, ensuring alignment with regulatory and internal requirements;
- Support incident investigations with a focus on understanding causes and improving systems and practices;
- Monitor HSE KPIs and support the achievement of safety objectives in the assigned area.
What maques you Unique
- Knowledge of HSE Management Systems and their application in operational environments;
- Experience in risk management with focus on identification and control of SIF-P (Serious Injury and Fatality Potential) risks;
- Experience in wind operations, with strong exposure to field-based activities;
- Ability to ensure effective implementation and verification of critical risk controls in the field;
- Familiarity with safety planning tools (PTW, JSAs, etc.);
- Experience in incident investigation and follow-up;
- Knowledge of applicable HSE regulations in Spain;
- Understanding of operational safety approaches (e.g. human factors, learning from operations):
- Ability to build trust-based relationships with operational teams and contractors;
- Ability to influence decisions and behaviours without formal authority;
- Collaborative mindset, working effectively across operational teams, contractors and stakeholders
