Product management specialist- New power pricing

 

Mission

The New Power & Solar team's main mission is to help customers in their energy transition through personalised energy and solar solutions that provide them with a simple, comprehensive and value-generating experience.

It is the team responsible for building electricity and solar products, from ideation to price formulation, minimising risks and covering our customers' specificities. The team is made up of pricing specialists, who know and calculate the entire pricing structure in its different forms, in order to mitigate risk and guarantee competitiveness in the market. They ensure a close relationship with the commercial teams in order to provide support in the construction of proposals, not only in their execution but also in sharing insights into the market. They know and master the use of tools from the Galp universe, from a perspective of daily use, as well as in a logic of continuous improvement.
 

What you´ll do: 

  • Drawing up price proposals and other contractual conditions for the supply of electricity in the B2B market, in segments where customisation of the price to the consumption profile is required.
  • Drawing up standard price proposals and other contractual conditions for the supply of electricity in the B2B market, in segments where there is no need to customise the price to the consumption profile.
  • Developing and maintaining pricing models for all customer segments, in order to guarantee the changes in market structure at any given time.
  • Evaluate the customers' prices before the resale process in order to ensure that they remain in Galp's portfolio.
  • Propose the implementation of mechanisms to index the sale price to the wholesale market, carrying out comparative analyses of alternatives for indexes and periodicities, with the aim of ensuring the minimisation of risk in relation to the acquisition cost and guaranteeing the integrity of the margin defined by Galp.
  • Accompanying and supporting the Commercial Area teams in the negotiation/renegotiation of electricity sales contracts, ensuring the necessary skills to optimise and preserve the integrity of the margin defined by Galp.
  • Monitor all regulations and legislation applicable to the electricity sector in order to support Galp's Commercial Areas, as well as customer requests in order to guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Participating in analysing, testing and implementing new functionalities in the pricing systems.
  • Promoting the implementation of new analysis methodologies to streamline the pricing decision-making process.

 

What you´ll need: 

  • Knowledge of the electricity sector in Madrid, especially the B2B segment
  • Knowledge of price calculation methodologies and other pricing variables inherent to the B2B segment
  • Expertise in Excel and other tools to support price calculation and risk mitigation
  • Ability to create and maintain PowerBI dashboards
  • High level of autonomy and results-orientation
  • Ability to work in an agile environment that requires the ability to adapt to change
  • Strong team spirit and resilience
