Senior Drilling and Completion Engineer

 

Mission

Become a recognized D&C key player and contributor defending Galp objectives and interest across Petrogal Brasil portfolio.

 

What you'll do

  • Support the development of sequences of drilling operations, performing some basic analysis and calculations 
  • Review drilling reports with integration to the EPIK (E&P Information Knowledge) database and perform a benchmark analysis. Interaction with operator upon issues with current operations reported in the DDR
  • Actively support Petrogal Brasil upon influencing partners to achieve Company objectives mainly for the Bacalhau project with Equinor
  • Follow up and contribution with the Galp R&D 58 for the electric completion and active participation during workshop and technical meetings with partners
  • Support daily drilling and completion reports and other reports, related to the function, plus assist and mentor junior colleagues
  • Interact with other D&C disciplines, understand the synergy with the D&C function, and Interest with Galp digitalization vision that could be linked to D&C activities

 

What you'll need

  • Graduation or Master in Petroleum Engineering
  • Deep water pre salt experience preferred
  • Experience with deep water drilling and completion operation will be a plus
  • Understand SGIP principle and Familiarity with well integrity principles
  • Experience with Landmark Engineering software will be a plus (Compass, WellPlan, Stresscheck, WellCat)
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese (Read, Write, Speak)
  • Open mind with willingness to learn and participate in some tasks which could be outside of typical D&C engineering skills
  • Team player and ability to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and high sense of responsibility
