You will join the Upstream business unit that develops a competitive and unique portfolio in the sector, with a carbon intensity well below the industry average. It comprises projects at different stages of maturity, from exploration to production. In addition to promising assets in Namibia and São Tomé and Príncipe, the portfolio includes one of the largest oil and natural gas discoveries of recent decades: in the pre-salt Santos basin in Brazil.
About your future Team
Manage the day-to-day operational and commercial performance of conventional vessels for the export of the Galp equity in Brasil to multiple geographic destinations, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant shipping operations while delivering a reliable service to internal and external stakeholders.
How will your Day-to-Day look like:
- Manage the day-to-day operational and commercial activities of the conventional vessels, mainly VLCC in spot voyages, for Galp's equity exports from Brazil;
- Prepare and issue vessel operating instructions, including standard operating procedures for voyage-specific instructions;
- Assess operational, safety and product quality risks, ensuring compliance with applicable requirements and company standards;
- Monitor vessel performance and positioning, providing timely operational updates to internal and external stakeholders;
- Coordinate operational activities with terminals, port authorities, agents, shipowners, brokers, shippers and receivers, ensuring contractual compliance;
- Manage commercial and operational relationships with shipping counterparties in accordance with charter party agreements and other contractual arrangements;
- Review and validate freight, demurrage and other voyage-related invoices and claims;
- Validate vessel-related costs and operational data within IMOS, ensuring the accuracy of information received through Veslink.
What makes you Unique:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in operations, preferably within the maritime industry;
- Fluent in written and spoken English;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel; knowledge of Power BI is preferred;
- A proactive mindset, with a willingness to learn, share knowledge and embrace new challenges;
- Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment, with a minimum of 40% office presence;
- Working knowledge of accounting principles (preferred) and SAP S/4HANA as an end user;
- Flexibility of working hours behond normal work timetable.
