You will join the Corporate Center, the operational hub that supports our Business Units through a culture of collaboration. This is where all strategic and financial planning, sustainability practices and innovation technologies, risk assessment, and human resources converge to ensure efficient service delivery.

About your future Team:

Our mission is to ensure compliance with the tax obligations of the companies owned by the Group in different jurisdictions, as well as to study and interpret various tax regulations, in order to understand and anticipate their impact on the Galp Group. Responsible for coordinating strategic tax matters involving company's investments in Brazil, as well as ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations involving entities based in Brazil.

How will your day-to-day look like: 

  • You will be responsible for Tax Compliance and Reporting of Indirect Taxes and PGOV (including invoicing, tax calculations, ancilary obligations etc),
  • Tax Reform (analysis of impacts, solutions and implementation),
  • Special regimes,
  • Consultancy for Gas, Liquids and Power activities as well as mantainance of Tax Registers and Tax Clearance Certificates.
  • You will collaborate in defining the strategic plan for the Area of ​​Responsibility in line with company's business strategy.
  • This position has a great exposure in terms of interface with other department and stakeholders, including external associations like IBP and external JV partners.

What makes you unique:

  • Solid experience with Indirect taxes within a multinational company environment;
  • Solid experience with Tax compliance and Reporting, Special tax regimes, review of contracts from a tax standpoint and management of tax litigation;
  • Solid experience in management of team and external providers;
  • Strong communication and relationship skills to represent the company before external stakeholders;
  • Graduation in Law School;
  • Good knowledge of accounting, especially with regards to Oil and Gas industry
  • Fluent English is mandatory
