Industrial
You will joint the Industrial business unit that includes the refining, logistics, and cogeneration activities in the Iberian Peninsula, as well as the project to transform the Sines refinery through green hydrogen and biofuels.
About your future Team
- You'll be part of the Operational Readiness and Commissioning and Startup (OR&CSU) team for the refinery's new HVO & Green Hydrogen projects.
- This is a new, motivated and multidisciplinary team whose aim is to get these new units up and running.
- Once the new units have been transferred to the refinery, you will join the utilities operations team.
- Communication, trust, flexibility, team spirit and strategy are some of our pillars.
- You will find an environment of complete and transversal collaboration both within the team and with other areas, such as mechanics, electricity, instrumentation, statics and operations.
How will your day-to-day look like
- Accompanying and supporting the development of these new units, particularly in the construction, commissioning and start-up phases;
- Ensuring the integrity and suitability of projects to the company's standards and regulatory framework. As well as their execution in accordance with national legislation, European directives, standards, engineering codes and specifications;
- Detailed knowledge of the applicable Basic Engineering Specifications (BES);
- Approval of technical reports;
- Confirm the electrical work installed;
- Drawing up a deficiency list of electrical problems identified during site visits;
- Collaboration between various areas of Galp and other companies;
- Supporting and guaranteeing the implementation of the companies' work throughout the various phases of the project;
- Collaborating with the relevant elements of the Utilities operations team in the field of energy distribution;
- Carrying out substation manoeuvres:
- Interacting with the different stackholders in terms of operation, installation and maintenance, ensuring compliance with standards, good practice and safety.
What makes you unique
- Master’s in electrical engineering (5 year Pre-Bologna degree or integrated Master's degree);
- Experience in energy distribution and supervising installations;
- Knowledge of the main standards and codes applicable to the construction of electrical installations, namely European directives and standards, as well as other international standards for electrical installations;
- Ability to critically analyse and develop action plans;
- Use of IT tools applicable to the execution of projects and supervision of electrical installations;
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills;
- Good self-management skills and a high level of autonomy;
- Spirit of initiative, innovation and results-orientation;
- Driving licence;
- Oral and written fluency in English.
